4th Senior Officers Seminar

The 4th Senior Officers Seminar was held from 11th till 14th July 2018 in Singapore. A total of 35 Senior Officers from Bangladesh, Korea, Myanmar and Philippines attended the event. It has been a fruitful event with attendance of UNIX/MOLCT/TMS staff during this time. Our Boarding Supervisors from Rotterdam, Shanghai, Vancouver BC and Houston also attended and provided insightful information for the Senior Officers while calling at their areas of operation.

We also had the kind attendance of the staffs from Tokio Marine and UK P&I providing us with the information and present status of claims related to H&M and P&I. Apart from that, we also had the attendance of Musasino on their Level and Pressure Monitoring system fitted on our fleet vessels followed by a site visit to Alpha Laval workshop on their latest development and information on the Ballast Water Management System (BWMS).

Finally, we had a final half day event where the crew and attending staff let their hair down and participated in a Teambuilding event of paintball. It was an exciting event after the 3 days of seminar, discussion and information sharing.

Overall it has been a successful event for the 4th year running and this is becoming a favourite event to look out for to the senior officers in the fleet annually.
